** 2000 U-14 League Tournament **

The 2000 NCGSL U-14 league tournament (see photos) was held at Vernon Center Middle School the weekend of August 5th and 6th. The two day round-robin concluded with the top two teams playing a championship game Sunday afternoon.

Championship Game(see photos)
East Windsor 15, Vernon 6. Julie Tetreault struck out 11 as East Windsor won the championship game. Erin Stoecker belted a grandslam homer. Kim Iskrzak had the defensive gem of the game, making a rolling catch of a fly ball in right field and then alertly doubling the runner off second base. Vernon's stars were Shannon Miller, Kaylee Santuccio and Sherri Gandini. Coached by Mark Stoecker and Dave Pitney, the East Windsor team also included Julie Lech, Kara Iskrzak, Stephanie Wrona, Allyson Pitney, Ashley O'Brien, Kerry Stoecker, Calla Stanley, Jennifer Whitehead, Rachel Holland, Lisa Giroux, Ashley Welton and Kelly Donovan.
