A special thanks to the Canton volunteers who managed to get the field in shape for the game in spite of the heavy rain throughout the afternoon. Christina Cardwell pitched well for Canton, allowing only five hits. Cardwell also helped herself out with a hit and scoring a run in the bottom of the 1st inning. Canton's offense was led by Jessie Schroeder, going 4 for 4, including a double, and scoring a run. Olivia Bonini was a defensive standout behind the plate for Canton, throwing out two Suffield runners at second. Kasey Gifford and Angie Moskwa shared the pitching duties for Suffield, with Gifford striking out five over three innings and Moskwa striking out eight in four well-pitched innings. The Suffield offense was led by Kelly Kenney and Julie Muscarella, both going 2 for 2 and both scoring twice.
